Children’s Pastor
Oxford Assembly of God | Oxford, Florida
Full-Time Position
Can you see a bus full of kids as a church full of possibilities?
Some arrive ready for basketball. Others are looking forward to dinner, dodgeball, or seeing their
friends. We want every child to discover something more: people who love them, a place to
belong, and a Savior who knows their name.
We’re looking for a Children’s Pastor who sees the possibilities—and wants to help build
them.
Oxford Assembly of God is a church of approximately 500 attenders seeking a full-time
Children’s Pastor as our current pastor concludes their ministry at the end of 2026.
This Is What Winning Our Community Looks Like
Each spring and fall, our Wednesday bus ministry picks up children from public schools and
brings them to church for WOC—Winning Our Community. During these seasons,
participation exceeds 100 children.
We serve food, help with homework, play basketball, pickleball, and dodgeball, sing together,
and teach the Bible. Every activity creates an opportunity to build relationships and point
children toward Jesus.
We want to reach children who aren’t here yet and deeply disciple the children who are.
We Take God’s Word Seriously
We want children to do more than remember a fun night at church. We want them to carry God’s
Word into their homes, schools, friendships, and decisions.
We currently have multiple Junior Bible Quiz teams, helping children learn Scripture,
understand biblical truth, and build a foundation for lifelong faith. We’re looking for a pastor
who will champion that foundation while finding creative ways to reach more children.
Who We’re Looking For
• A pastor with an outward focus. You see children in our community as people to
pursue, know, and love.
• A disciple-maker who loves Scripture. You can make the Bible engaging and
understandable while helping children take its truth to heart.
• A team builder. A ministry like this takes drivers, cooks, tutors, coaches, teachers, and
caring adults. You know how to bring people together, give them direction, and help them
see why their contribution matters.
• A partner to parents. You build trust with families and help them nurture faith at home.
• An organized leader. You understand that welcoming children well requires preparation,
clear communication, and consistent attention to safety.
• A Spirit-led minister. We are an Assemblies of God congregation that believes children
can know Jesus personally and experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
Why Oxford Assembly?
You’ll join a supportive staff that values relationships, creative ministry, and long-term
investment. You’ll have room to bring ideas, develop leaders, and build on an established
ministry with meaningful community connections.
If you can get excited about a gym full of energy, a bus full of potential, and children
learning to treasure God’s Word, we would love to talk.
