OVERVIEW:

The International Protestant Church of Kinshasa (IPCK) is prayerfully seeking a spiritually mature, experienced, and visionary Senior Pastor to provide biblical, pastoral, and strategic leadership to our vibrant, multicultural congregation of approximately 600 weekly worshippers representing more than 40 nationalities. Our ideal candidate is a servant-leader passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word, shepherding people, developing disciples, and equipping others for ministry. We value a collaborative leader who embraces cultural diversity, builds strong ministry teams, empowers staff and volunteers, and works effectively within the church’s established governance structure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide biblical preaching, teaching, and pastoral care to the congregation and ministry staff 

• Shepherd and nurture spiritual growth within a diverse, multicultural congregation 

• Collaborate closely with IPCK’s Commission of Twelve (C12) to align ministry initiatives with church governance and strategic vision 

• Mentor, equip, and develop ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers across ministries 

• Foster discipleship and sustainable ministry growth that advances the church’s mission 

• Lead outreach efforts and community engagement to expand IPCK’s impact locally and globally 

• Model servant leadership that encourages involvement and spiritual empowerment among members 

• Oversee administrative and organizational functions in partnership with church leadership teams 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five years pastoral or ministry leadership experience 

• Formal seminary or accredited theological education required 

• Strong biblical preaching, teaching, and pastoral leadership skills 

• Demonstrated ability to mentor, equip, and develop ministry leaders 

• Experience or adaptability in multicultural and international ministry settings 

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative leadership abilities 

• Cross-cultural ministry experience and French-language proficiency are advantageous 

• Commitment to long-term ministry with willingness to enter a minimum five-year Covenant Agreement of Service
