Job Description:

Kerusso, Inc. is in search of an IT Manager to help support the IT Delivery team in day-to-day operations as well as to lead various maintenance, enhancement and new technology projects. This newly established role will work with teams across the organization to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet the growing needs of internal business departments and of external customers. The Manager will work directly with business constituents, the IT team, Operations, Marketing, eCommerce, Customer Support, Sales and the CEO to develop and execute the company's technical and strategic vision. This role presents an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic, growing company and directly affect the future of the business through the application of technology and fulfillment of projects to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have evidence of recent and progressive experience leading and managing internal and customer-facing software development or IT delivery projects. They will have significant experience in project management and possess the ability to lead within a matrix environment, working within both traditional “waterfall”, long-term projects as well as small and iterative, agile-based efforts.  They will excel in communication and be able to translate emerging business needs into functional requirements and ultimately into best fit, scalable and user-friendly technological solutions. They will clearly articulate project requirements and deliverables, and will be equally comfortable communicating and working with business or technology experts.  They will be a continual learner – someone who is passionate about achieving project successes, but who is excited to learn the business of Kerusso and to help it improve and grow. They will have experience managing personnel or leading small teams, and will work as a servant leader and contributor – taking accountability for delivery of results and a personal interest in ensuring that successful outcomes are achieved.  They will be able to manage internal and external (3rd party vendor) resources and hold team members accountable for their tasks.  They work collaboratively as a lead within the IT team and will be expected to coach, mentor and direct staff in achieving desired outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Understand, own and manage projects involving the IT team, to include functional enhancements of existing systems as well as new development or integration initiatives
  • Take ownership of the process, documentation and day-to-day oversight of project management within the IT team (desktop & systems support, ERP / Epicor administration, security, etc.)
  • Facilitate processes (example – Agile) that enable communication, collaboration, reporting and timely delivery of project deliverables within the IT team
  • Collaborate with customers, colleagues, senior leadership, service delivery partners and others to complete (end-to-end) projects and initiatives in support of company and departmental objectives
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the IT team and develop a unified process and working project management methodology for the IT team
  • Proactively track, monitor and report to stakeholders on the status of projects across the IT portfolio – identifying risks, escalating issues and removing barriers in order to meet project goals and deadlines

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) managing technology-related projects, with evidence of experience leading enterprise software development efforts and/or managing a company ERP environment
  • Experience working within a small, hands-on IT environment as an IT manager, project manager or similar lead role in facilitating iterative development/improvement of software and systems
  • Ability to professionally communicate with business customers, subject matter experts, technical resources, executive stakeholders and other project participants in order to effectively scope, monitor and deliver new technology projects and enhancements;
  • Experience and ability to serve as a Business Systems Analyst to translate business needs into technological solutions
  • Technologically savvy, with the ability to become a subject matter expert in corporate systems (to include ERP environment), serving as a point of escalation for problems and issues reported within the environment
  • Exposure to and a thorough understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle for technology initiatives
