GENERAL SUMMARY: The role of the Security Lead Officer is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff and property of CRISTA Ministries. This is accomplished by conducting routine random patrol of CRISTA property, responding to and investigation of security related incidents, reporting safety hazards observed during patrol activity, and appropriately documenting actions and observations noted during assigned shift.   The Security Lead Officer works closely with the Security Supervisor to recommend, implement, and monitor security operation policies and procedures and to coordinate and oversee security and parking management of CRISTA campus events.

Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle.

Identify and report all incidents and hazards in the prescribed manner.

Complete all required documentation in a timely manner, follow established procedures and use appropriate spelling and grammar.

Respond effectively to instructions given by management and emergency personnel.

Provide the highest degree of customer service, determining and responding to the needs of residents, visitors, and staff. Verbally communicate in an appropriate and effective manner.

Maintain confidentiality of all private CRISTA-related information, including patient information.
In the absence of the Security Supervisor:

  • Provide back-up with administrative duties within department as well as routine patrol functions.
  • Provide high degree of service and departmental operation continuity.
  • Contact the appropriate management personnel in a timely manner in the event of any major or extraordinary event.



 Direct the Security Officers’ work in the absence of Security Supervisor.

 Schedule Security Officers’ coverage.

 Assist in development and coordination of staff training.

 Assist Security Supervisor in coordinating the training of new security officers and tracking their progress through established departmental training standards.

 Provide input on the performance of the Security Officers



Christian Commitment: Godly leader and servant leadership style that is relational, and reflective of John 10, with personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and spiritual maturity. 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 1-2 years of security experience.

Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State drivers license with clean driving record.   

Software and Equipment Used: Strong technical understanding of existing security systems including access control, CCTV, and key control, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook



Education: Some college course work in relevant field.  

Experience: Additional security and/or law enforcement experience.       

Software and Equipment Used:   Security access control system experience.
