Camp Host

Resident Camp Host
Camp Impact | Okeechobee, Florida
Full-Time | 18–30 per Hour | On-Site Housing Available

At Camp Impact, we believe camp is a place where faith meets fun, relationships grow, and lives are impacted. We are looking for a personable, hands-on, ministry-minded individual who loves the Lord and loves people to serve as our Resident Camp Host.

The Camp Host is the face of Camp Impact for the groups and visitors who come to our property. From welcoming a group for orientation to checking in during their stay, this person helps our guests feel cared for and supported so they can focus on the purpose of their time at camp.

This is a full-time, live-on-site position for someone who enjoys meeting people, serving others, solving problems, and pitching in to keep camp ready for guests.

What you’ll do

Welcome and serve our guests

• Greet group leaders and guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to serve.

• Lead group orientations and give tours to both arriving groups and prospective guests.

• Serve as an accessible point of contact during group stays, checking in, answering questions, and responding to needs as they arise.

• Help guests understand camp policies, safety procedures, and the amenities available to them.

• Conduct checkout walkthroughs, document feedback, and communicate any follow-up needs to the team.

Help keep camp ready

• Review upcoming group details and work with the team to ensure cabins, meeting spaces, and amenities are ready for arrival.

• Complete camp-readiness checks and help with event setup, supplies, and other practical preparations.

• Perform light maintenance and hands-on tasks as needed to help keep the property guest-ready.

• Identify and communicate larger maintenance needs, coordinate with the appropriate team members, and help find solutions when unexpected issues arise.

• Work closely with reservations, housekeeping, and maintenance to support a smooth experience for every group.

Represent the heart of Camp Impact

• Serve guests with kindness, professionalism, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

• Support the ministry leaders and groups we serve as they carry out their own programs and events.

• Offer encouragement and prayer when welcomed, reflecting the Christian mission and values of Camp Impact.

What we’re looking for

• A person who loves Jesus, loves people, and has a heart for service and ministry.

• An outgoing, approachable personality and the ability to connect comfortably with guests and group leaders.

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative.

• A practical, hands-on person who is comfortable with light maintenance and working outdoors.

• Flexibility, dependability, and the ability to remain calm and helpful when plans change.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check.

• Willingness to live on site at Camp Impact.

Experience in hospitality, ministry, maintenance, or the camp world is a plus, but it is not required. Programming experience is also valuable, though leading group programming is not the primary focus of this role.
