Job Description:

Ingomar Church is currently recruiting to fill the position of Youth Director.  This is a dynamic, fast-paced, full time salaried position, whose work schedule will include Sunday mornings and weekend retreats and activities with the youth.  Benefits include paid vacation time, company contributions towards a Retirement Savings program after 1 year of service, and paid health insurance for the employee.  Other voluntary benefits are available.


This position is responsible for developing, assessing, implementing and supervising youth ministry (grade 6 through college age) programs for Ingomar Church.  These responsibilities include developing and directing the execution of middle school, junior and senior high school Youth Fellowship programs, bible studies, retreats, special events and study groups.  This also includes organizing and/or leading youth mission trips and service projects in the local area, to West Virginia, and outside of the US.  The individual will be required to coordinate Youth Fellowship programs with Sunday School and Confirmation class programs, and recruit, train and lead student and parent leaders, and must work closely with the Adult Youth Leadership Team.  This position is also responsible for developing and implementing youth fundraisers to support the youth mission and ministry programs and must be able to develop and manage a budget.


Qualifications for this position include being able to create an atmosphere of hospitality and cooperation, to share and support the Christian values of Ingomar Church, and to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ.  The individual must be Act 33/34 compliant, must demonstrate the ability to develop and supervise Youth Ministry programs, comprehend the team concept of ministry, and demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills as a team player
