ADMINISTRATOR


POSITION STATUS: FULL TIME, EXEMPT

EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: MANAGERIAL

REGULAR WORK HOURS: THE GENERAL WORKWEEK IS FIVE DAYS WITH ADDITIONAL MEETINGS.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: SENIOR PASTOR


POSITION OVERVIEW:

THE ADMINISTRATOR IS THE CHIEF STRATEGIST AND COORDINATOR FOR IMPLEMENTING THE VISION LED BY THE PASTOR. THE POSITION OVERSEES A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE STAFF, HENCE POSSESSES LEADERSHIP GIFTS AND MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE. THE ADMINISTRATOR IS THE “GLUE” THAT WORKS TO BUILD TEAM UNITY AND A WELL-COORDINATED AND COHESIVE MINISTRY TEAM. THE ADMINISTRATOR IS ALSO THE “GREASE” THAT SMOOTHES THE WAY FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT OF RELATIONSHIPS OF GRACE BY NEGOTIATING PROBLEMS, ENSURING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, AND HELPING TO RESOLVE CONFLICT.

RESPONSIBILITY OVERVIEW:

1. CONNECT AND GROW LOGISTICS
a. FACILITATE MEANINGFUL PLACES FOR PEOPLE TO BELONG IN THE BODY (CONNECT)
b. IDENTIFY AND ASSIST IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIES THAT BUILD SPIRIUTAL CHARACHER IN JESUS
(GROW)
c. IMPLEMENT A PROCESS FOR SMALL GROUP PLACEMENT.

2. SERVE LOGISTICS
a. IDENTIFY KEY AREAS OF SERVICE
b. DEVELOP PROCESSES FOR RECRUITING INDIVIDUALS IN SERVING
c. ASSIST STAFF IN BUILDING INTENTIONAL TEAMS FOR MEANINGFUL MINISTRY
d. EQUIP SERVERS
e. CELEBRATE ACHIVEMENTS
f. ASSIST MEMBERS IN STARTING OR REFINING MINISTRY BY COACHING THEM IN BOUNDRIES, STRATEGIES, AND
EFFECTIVENESS FOR SERVICE.

3. OVERSEE GENERAL CHURCH LOGISTICS: COMMUNICATION, CALENDARS, WEDDINGS, FUNERALS, BAPTISMS, AND
EVENTS.

4. DIRECT SUPERVISION OF; CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR, MINISTER OF YOUTH, MINISTER OF SINGLE
ADULTS/SENIOR ADULTS/OUTREACH, VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, BUILDING OPERATIONS MAN AND CUSTODIAL
MANAGER.

5. WORK ON GENERAL STEPS AND SYSTEMS TO ACCOMPLISH CHURCH STRATEGIES AS LED BY THE PASTOR.

6. WORK WITH THE PASTOR TO ALIGN, ASSESS, AND IMPROVE SPECIFIC STAFF MINISTRY STRATEGIES.

7. OVERSEE GUEST FLOW, NEW MEMBER ASSIMILATION, AND ONGOING MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION.

8. OVERSEE MISCELLANEOUS MINISTRY REPORTS: NEWS, ASSOCIATION, STAFF GOALS, EBC STATISTICS, AND OTHER KEY DOCUMENTS.

9. IMPLEMENT MARKETING STRATEGIES (GETTING PEOPLE IN THE DOOR)

10. COORDINATE MINISTERIAL STAFF EVALUATIONS


BUDGET AUTHORITY:

ALL PURCHASES OUTSIDE OF BUDGETED ITEMS SHOULD BE CLEARED WITH THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE CHAIR OR TREASURER.


EVALUATION:

EVALUATION WILL BE ON AN ONGOING BASIS IN PERIODIC STAFF MEETINGS AND IN PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS. A MORE FORMAL WRITTEN EVALUATION WILL BE COMPLETED ONCE EACH YEAR. PERFORMANCE WILL BE BASED ON DEGREE AND QUALITY OF COMPLETING THE JOB DESCRIPTION PLUS ANY ADDITIONAL GOALS AGREED UPON AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EVALUATION YEAR. COMPENSATION ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE BASED ON QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF WORK PERFORMED AND OVERALL VALUE THAT THE INDIVIDUAL BRINGS TO THE CHURCH.

IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT EVERY EMPLOYEE WILL MAKE A GOOD FAITH EFFORT TO ACT IN A FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AT ALL TIMES. BIBLICAL STANDARDS ARE THE OVERARCHING GUIDELINES WE WILL ADHERE TO INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF WORK.


QUALIFICATIONS;

(COMPETENCIES, TECHNICAL SKILLS, FORMAL EDUCATION AND RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE CRITICAL FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)


FORMAL EDUCATION
• DEGREE IN BUSINESS/MANAGEMENT, MARKETING OR EDUCATION DISCIPLINE OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE- UNIVERSITY DEGREE (4 YEARS OR EQUIVALENT)

SPECIALIZED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES AND RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE, NEEDED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION
• DEMONSTRATED MANAGEMENT SKILLS-DEVELOP AND EXECUTE STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL GOALS FOR AN
ORGANIZATION, HAS EXPERIENCE OF DIRECT SUPERVISION OF OTHERS AND EXPERIENCE IN CONDUCTING
PERFORMANCE REVIEWS
• SKILL IN INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS, NEGOTIATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION
