Salem Communications in Atlanta is searching for a new part-time promotions assistant
to add to our team. This position will report to the Promotions Department with the primary purpose of assisting the AM Promotions Director. Responsibilities will include contest fulfillment, preparing for AM station events, maintaining promotional items and equipment, and other various tasks as needed. This position will also assist in representing all of our stations at events.
Qualified candidates will need to have a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, organized, a self-starter, and be able to do a lot with a little. You must have a positive attitude no matter what the task (or weather), be outgoing with listeners at events, show strong leadership skills, and be open to learning new things.
This is a part-time hourly entry level position requiring work in the office a few hours a week along with time required on nights, weekends and holidays for station events. Flexibility will be required as schedule will vary from week to week with an average of 20 hours per week worked.
The ideal candidate will have experience in promotions, public relations or event coordination.
