Position Overview:
Salem Communications Corporation is a leading broadcaster of religious programming and informative talk. The company owns and operates commercial radio stations in major markets throughout the United States. Salem Communications Tampa/Sarasota is looking for an extremely organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team in managing the production and programming for WLCC, our Spanish Christian Teaching Talk station. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and all department heads to ensure the proper execution of the WLCC format and growth of both the listening audience and revenue generating programming.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Oversees all commercial activity on WLCC
• Voices and produces commercial copy
• Produces, hosts, and directs live Christian programs
• Records and produces pre-recorded Christian programs
• Collaborates with sales staff to create new streams of revenue via joint sales/programming initiatives on-air and on-line.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify and develop new program revenue
• Completes a daily log check and returns previous days logs to traffic department
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Must be bi-lingual – Fluent in Spanish and English
• BS Communication, Marketing or Business Administration or comparable experience in this field
• Must be able to produce audio flawlessly in a timely manner
• Must be experienced with Adobe Audition or equivalent audio editing software and have a thorough working knowledge of digital audio automation systems
• 2-5 years’ experience in the radio industry is essential

• Should be comfortable working with pastoral and faith-based community
• Must demonstrate problem-solving and time management skills
• Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a high pressure environment
• Must demonstrate copywriting skills and experience
• Must be innovative and strategic
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Salem’s Rivendell Automation system
• Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations
