Regional Finance Officer (1108)

Boone, NC- Samaritan’s Purse has an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our financial field support team in Boone, NC. The Regional Finance Officer will be assigned and support an international region of project field offices. The Regional Finance Officer reviews and processes financial reports from multiple international field offices, facilitates funds requests, trains and advises field staff in accounting methods and finance policies and procedures, assists field leadership with budget preparation, and monitors cash flow and financial aspects of grants.

Qualified candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented while also demonstrating the ability to adapt and focus on outcomes. Should have strong analytical accounting, problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills. The successful candidate places a high emphasis on accuracy, integrity and stewardship; has basic computer literacy, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to quickly learn in-house financial software. A Bachelor’s degree and three to five years related accounting experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to read and interpret documents of moderate complexity, write professional correspondence and training/instruction materials, and present information one-on-one and in group situations. Must be able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships – demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work successfully in a team environment. Non-government organization field accounting experience is preferred. Second language ability is a plus. International travel is required. Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. One year of college-level Biblical studies is preferred.
