Communication Institute (CI) seeks to teach, equip, and resource Christian leaders around the world. CI identifies critical leadership needs and seeks to serve as a catalyst to meet them. CI's primary strategy is sponsoring the European Leadership Forum (Forum) which exists to unite, mentor, and resource Europe's evangelical leaders to re-evangelize Europe and renew the biblical church. The Forum's annual meeting brings together hundreds of hand-picked leaders from more than 40 countries. As a direct result of the Forum, more than 350 seminars, leadership training and evangelistic strategies occur across Europe over the course of the year. The Vice President of Operations and Strategic Initiatives will lead CI core operations and manage CI new strategies in our efforts to equip, mentor, and resource evangelical leaders worldwide. The VP of Operations will help to develop and manage CI's strategic plan. The VP will lead the CI team in managing core operations (Technology, Information Systems & Media, Human Resources and Finances). The VP will also manage and develop the Forum Online, Wilberforce Institute, European Strategic Initiative, and additional CI strategies. Other tasks and projects will be assigned at the discretion of the President.
*Applicants must have an undergraduate degree.
*Strong personal commitment to Christ and to CI's purpose and evangelical statement of faith. Positive Christian witness and servant's heart, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people.
*Applicants must be strongly gifted in both written and verbal communication.
*Applicants should be able to build strategic partnerships with Christian leaders and be able to develop synergistic strategies to serve other Christian organizations.
*Applicants must enjoy a dynamic, agile work environment which requires regular problem solving and strategic innovation.
*Applicants must have the ability to do strategic planning, considering future opportunities and obstacles and incorporating them into all planning.
*Applicants must have experience in effectively building and managing teams and complex projects. Applicants must have a basic understanding of accounting and organizational budgeting and in web-development communication and social media.
*Prior cross-cultural experience will be considered an asset.
Terms and Compensation
The Vice President of Operations and Strategic Initiatives is a full-time, salaried position. Starting compensation will be based on skill level and experience. Because this position is directly responsible for establishing the strategy and launching of various long term strategies, a three year commitment is requested.
All CI employees travel to Eger, Hungary (at CI's expense) each may to administrate the Forum. All full-time employees start out with three weeks of paid vacation, along with nine paid holidays. CI also offers health benefits to full-time employees.
