Job Description:
Salem Communications (NASDAQ:SALM), the leading U. S. radio broadcaster targeting audiences interested in conservative NewsTalk and Christian and family-themed programming, is looking for a Lawyer for our busy legal department.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide support for the company’s SEC filings; review, negotiate and finalize employment agreements.

Tasks Performed:
SEC filings – Research and prepare various SEC documents for filing, including: Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, proxy statements, Form 8-K and Form 4 filings; Board Materials - Provide supervision and oversight of corporate board materials and resolutions.

Experience Required:
Proficient in MS Word and Excel;
Proficient with (or ability to become proficient with) EDGAR and Form 4 filings.

Other Qualifications:
Very detail oriented; self-starter with good organizational/prioritization skills; critical thinker who can solve complex problems; good interpersonal skills as position requires a lot of contact with senior management.
One to three years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in-house a plus.

Education or Degree:
Juris Doctor Degree and admission to CA Bar required

Salem Communications offers a competitive salary of 70k – 80k and a comprehensive benefit package.
