Job Description:
The Gospel Rescue Mission of Tucson, a 58 year old Mission, is currently seeking a Director for the Men’s Center with a minimum of seven years’ experience with shelter and recovery programs. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate very strong management skills, as well as, experience with a Genesis Recovery Program in a Grace Based Culture and a related undergraduate or graduate degree. Responsibilities & Duties
Administration (30%)
•Oversee all activities, programs (shelter, restoration, internship training, transitional living, etc.) daily operations and staffing
•Develop (with the Executive Director and staff) program goals and objectives and examine outcomes to make adjustments as needed
•Supervise, train, and equip staff to carry out the mission of this ministry with excellence
•Collaborate with churches, agencies, and other ministries to develop and implement partnerships and expand resource support
•Collaborate with outside agencies (such as probation officers, social service agencies, etc.) as needed for client advocacy (referrals, case management services, etc.) in ways to reflect our program and Christian values in a positive light
•Develop policies and procedures for daily operations and monitor the staff and/or students in their application of the policies and procedures
•Help develop and monitor department’s annual & monthly budget
•Oversee the staff performance review procedure
•Oversee certification processes and keep the Men’s Center meeting or exceeding standards and passing inspections
•Interview, hire, train, monitor, promote, and dismiss staff as needed
•Oversee client files and progress notes and ministry record keeping/forms

Client Services (45%)
•Establish and build healthy Christ honoring relationships with clients
•Lead clients into Grace Based accountability process
•Oversee Genesis addictions recovery process
•Participate in the process of developing Christian disciples
•Provide spiritual and personal counseling to students and shelter guests as needed
•Interview and asses clients as needed
•Oversee the operation of the transitional house including, but not limited to: teaching classes, monitoring client progress, collecting UA’s, reporting maintenance needs, etc.
•Assist staff by providing direction and input with their case management and counseling of students and guests
•Teach classes for discipleship, life skills, devotions, etc.
•Pray with, advise and direct the efforts of students and guests relating to spiritual, personal, and program needs

Other (15%)
•Oversee assigned volunteers (training, monitoring, evaluation, general interaction etc.)
•Communicate and interact with the Program Director of Bethany House, sharing information and assistance, for the development of overall ministry vision and goals
•Attend (as able or desiring) appropriate community meetings such as, TPCH, GMH/SUD, SMI, TAE, Faith Based Meth Alliance etc.
•Attend professional training and networking opportunities as directed
•Help write and develop program descriptions, brochures, manuals, etc.
•Speak at churches, civic clubs, and organizations as needed
•Assure facility and equipment meets safety and health standards and/or certifications
•Attend staff devotions
•Attend professional training and networking opportunities as directed
•Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Associate Executive Director
