Job Description:
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Programmer/Analyst

A. Summary
1. The Programmer/Analyst’s primary responsibility is to gather user requirements, convert them into design documents, and perform development activities. The primary focuses will be Dynamics NAV development.
2. This is a permanent office based position with an annual salary of $40k.

B. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Configure, develop and implement Microsoft Dynamics Navision software and components in all functional areas
2. Create new and modify existing customizations as requested by the users
3. Perform data conversions, debug system problems and craft resolutions
4. Install and implement service packs and hot fixes as needed
5. Be the technical liaison to business groups for application support
6. Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including development of system documentation and training materials
7. Assist in functional specification of customizations required for Navision implementations
8. Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end user support

C. Credentials & Experience
1. College degree in a related discipline strongly desired
2. Professional certification and accreditation strongly recommended or equivalent work experience
3. Microsoft Dynamics Navision certification(s) in related discipline a plus
4. Minimum 5 years hands on experience with full life cycle implementations
5. SQL Experience a plus
6. Experience working with common third party add-on solutions and their integration with MS NAV highly desired

D. Knowledge & Skill Requirements
1. Knowledge of principals and procedures as related to mid scale business processes
2. Ability to understand, communicate and interpret financial processes and requirements
3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands and effective time management skills
4. Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation –including business and system requirements, process diagrams and data flow charts
5. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision
