Job Description:
Kurdistan, Iraq - The Program Coordinator, Health Administration performs duties utilizing specific knowledge of health care administration and overlaying that with the current Shoresh Health Center procedures. Duties include scheduling doctors, arranging appointments, registering patients, compiling and recording medical reports, and correspondence.


• Liaison between Fountain of Love management and health center staff
• Liaison between Fountain of Love and Ministry of Health
• Establish a working schedule for the doctors and clinic
• Arrange appointments and consultations
• Greet visitors to the clinic; ascertain purpose of visit, and direct visitors to appropriate doctors
• Interview patients, prepare and complete reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories and medical records
• Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff
• Maintain medical records, technical library and correspondence files
• Provide administrative and clerical service to the clinic and health center
• Serve as the focal point for all procurement requisitions initiated by the doctors
• Keep computerized inventory of all equipment in the clinic
• Arrange monthly meetings with the doctors alongside the deputy director to ensure better performance and implementation
• Initiate procurement requisition related to the clinic requirements
• Follow up with Pharmacist to ensure that medicine is up to date with registration
• Arrange meetings (if required) with the Directorate of Health


• Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in medical, nursing, nutrition, or other health-related field; or one to two years of related experience and/or training in health programming in a developing country; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in health care industry with familiarity of health care administration
• Organizational and time management skills
• Good interpersonal and written oral communication skills
• Ability to coordinate activities with the local government health ministries and build and maintain positive working relationships

12 month contract
