Salem Communications presently operates business talk radio stations in 11 top markets. These stations are formatted with national and local programming, of which the majority is programmer paid. The Director will assume responsibility for the sale and administration of the national programs, which are the single most important source of revenue for this network. Reporting to the Radio Division President, the Director will work cooperatively with the station General Managers, providing coaching on standards of business talk formatting excellence, client development, event marketing and the implementation of new national shows into their broadcast schedule. The Director will lead negotiations with clients and administer renewal cycles involving a growing number of national program accounts. This person will take leadership in developing new long-form programs, shaping and improving existing products, targeting and selling national spot clients that appeal to the business audience, and building positive, loyal relationships with key customers.

For consideration, candidates will have a track record of several years of successful radio, network and/or media sales, with an experiential understanding of programming and promotions. Administrative abilities, contracts administration and event marketing are strongly preferred.
