Application Management- Responsible for the design and build of various Shared IT Applications,(Servers and Server Rooms, Directory & Authentication, eMail, Database, and Webs & Portal). Includes development of vendor analyses, architectural drawings, configuration & test plans. Service Management- Heavily involved in various aspects of Service Management for Shared IT or Shared Support Applications including service level management, availability management, capacity management, and continuity management. Service Support- Involved in various aspects of support for Shared IT or Shared Support Applications including problem management and configuration management. Shared responsibility for 24/7 support depending on business need. Security Management- Involved in the various aspects of security management for Shared IT or Shared Support Applications including control, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Project Management- Lead and/or participate in the planning and/or implementation of technical projects. Balances competing demands on a project among scope, schedule, cost, and technical performance/quality. Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
Supports and assists other Team Leader, System Administrator I and II activities, or other duties as assigned by the Team Leader including 24x7 support for systems, reviewing and recommending new process or technology solutions, and self-study.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree preferred, or a combination of significant experience and certifications related to Servers, Messaging, Webs & Portals, and Database required. Systems Administrator III must have advanced/administrator knowledge of at least 2 of the following with demonstrated analytical ability:
• Database (predominately MS-based)
• Servers (Predominantly MS-based): Operating Systems
• Messaging (Predominantly MS-based): eMail, Contact Management with knowledge of MS Exchange
• Webs & Portals (Predominantly MS-based)
Preferred: experience in the programming and development areas with knowledge of IT Powershell and C#.
