The Internet Manager is a position of great responsibility in a dynamic environment that generates the organization’s web communications. The Manager will lead a team of designers and developers to manage the projects that maintain the functionality and content on our sites as well as oversee the development of new sites. Your leadership skills will be a major factor in your success in this position. Your daily activities will require project manager skills and require that you be well organized and excel at motivating others on the team to great output.
You should have experience in building and maintaining corporate web sites and know the tools of web production inside and out. Creative and technical production experience is a must as you will be responsible for the completion of all work on the sites and should know what it takes to accomplish. Understanding of all facets of web development and performance issues on multiple platforms is required. You should send a link showing examples of your work when you apply.
You will also need to show initiative in developing new avenues of content distribution in today’s evolving transmedia world. You will work with staff in other departments to coordinate events with web site activities as well as implement plans for crisis response communications no matter when they occur.
You should have a passion for the Internet and a demonstrated ability to understand the online world and the opportunities it offers for projecting the organization’s voice. A working knowledge of web programming languages and web production tools is required. You need strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships as well as the ability to present your ideas persuasively to team members and executive management.
