DaySpring Cards is looking for Merchandising Specialists based in the following 5 US locations: Carmel IN (Indianapolis area), Tempe/Scottsdale AZ (Phoenix area), Richland Hills/Hurst TX (Fort Worth area), Selma TX (San Antonio area), Schaumberg/Palatine IL (Chicago area) .
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Merchandising Specialist (MS) is responsible for maintaining DaySpring products on controlled systems, product ordering, training of in-store personnel and communication to the DaySpring Account Executive (AE). They are also responsible for new systems set-ups, resets and expansions in their territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build a working relationship with card specialist and store managers. Communicate with store personnel and DaySpring AE. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
Maintain all DaySpring control systems; train the card specialist; execute product ordering and replenishment. Execute in store analysis for all national accounts. Keep DaySpring control systems in neat, clean and properly merchandised order. Manage requirement of job within budgeted hours. Merchandise and maintain spinners and outpost display of DaySpring product. Handle returns and obsolescence product under the direction of the AE. This duty is performed weekly, about 80% of the time.
Pre-call plan for store visits and report to the AE all account activity. Maintain a consistent call schedule. Complete all expenses and account visit worksheet on a weekly schedule. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
High school diploma
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (daily travel required within 50 mile radius of base location).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED (desired for ideal candidate)
Some service background or retail preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
Good decision making (in a timely manner) based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
Tenacity to pursue everything with energy, drive and a need to finish (especially in the face of resistance or setbacks).
Ability to effectively relate to and build cooperative relationships with customers.

DaySpring Cards was born in a small commercial print shop in Covina, California, in 1971. The company was founded by four Christian men — Dean Kerns, Don Leetch, Russ Flint, and Roy Lessin.
