Job Description:
In coordination with Subject Matter Experts for APOU, this person is responsible of the configuration and support of the hosted Jenzabar EX Student Information Suite, which includes Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Student Life, and Advising. This person also serves as the Moodle LMS Administrator and is responsible for configuring, maintaining, securing, and administering APOU’s Learning Management System and related web properties.

Additionally, this person is responsible for the integration of Jenzabar and Moodle with directory services, library services, and other third party services as required, using a variety of technologies and integration points, including Java, Visual Basic, web services, and SQL.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a breadth of experience with modern development tools and technologies, has experience administering systems, servers, and databases, has knowledge of the higher education industry and its unique technology needs, and also has the ability to lead implementation and integration efforts while coordinating tasks and projects across departments and disciplines.

Required Experience / Education

-Christian Commitment: Vital Christian faith and lifestyle
-Supportive of the evangelical mission and purpose of APOU and the Azusa Pacific University System
-Bachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, Computer/Information Science or closely related field
-Minimum two years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of four years combined relevant education and experience which must have included one year developing enterprise web and data-driven applications.
-Development experience against Oracle and SQL Server databases preferred with strong use of structured query language --and analysis tools.
-Minimum of 2-3 years experience with configuring and maintaining a Moodle-based Learning Management System
-Minimum of 2-3 years experience with medium to large-scale web systems administration using open source tools.

Desired Experience / Education

- Minimum five years of relevant experience including three years developing enterprise web and data-driven applications.
- User Interface and graphic design experience preferred
- Experience in the Education sector preferred
- Basic SQL certification or related training preferred
- MBA or MA in relevant field preferred
