To promote and expand the reach of Back to the Bible’s ministries, including Tandem and the Center for Bible Engagement, as well as other programs as assigned. The Content Coordinator’s primary goal is to make the Tandem content as effective as possible. To provide the necessary writing for media projects to fit the needs of the target audience(s), the nature of the media and ensure theological soundness.
WEB CONTENT—Expected Outcome: Web content will be compelling, piquing interest in the content and providing continuity and flow, as well as adhering to a high standard of quality and biblical accuracy. Approve all web content ensuring that the content is individualized and is conducive to the spiritual growth of the individual reading it. Ensure content is theologically sound.
WRITING AND EDITING – Expected Outcome: Writing will challenge and point individuals to take further steps in their own spiritual growth. All Back to the Bible writing and editing projects will be completed on a timely basis and will adhere to a high standard of quality and biblical accuracy. Write a variety of content based on the individual needs of those seeking help and accountability with their spiritual growth through e-mail, blogs and/or regular follow-up e-mails. Must aid in creative process for the Tandem web site.
CONTENT COORDINATION - Expected Outcome: Coordinate all content that’s being fed into the organization’s online Bible Engagement tools and other products. Keep all content past and present for the Tandem website organized and easy to find.
TEACHING/SPECIAL EVENTS – Expected Outcome: Will represent Back to the Bible in an engaging and professional manner. Will reach people in need of God’s Word by actively teaching it through media and/or public speaking opportunities. Must be available to be a part of special events, meetings and Bible Conferences in order to meet friends and donors of the ministry, to represent the ministry, and to present opportunities for involvement and partnership with Back to the Bible.
CONTINUING EDUCATION – Attend educational workshops, review publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies for the purpose of maximizing one’s personal contribution and propelling the growth of the ministry.
TEAMBUILDING – Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including tasks not specifically mentioned in the job description.
SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITY – Participate in the prayer ministry of Back to the Bible. Must attend Chapel and participate in special spiritual emphasis meetings and lead department morning prayers on a regular basis. Must be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and maintain a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people both within and outside the ministry; Must adhere to the Lifestyle Standards and Statement of Faith of Back to the Bible.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS –
Education and Experience:
A) Graduation from high school
B) Must have a 4 year college degree (Psychology or Behavioral Psychology preferred) and a Master’s of Divinity (or Doctorate)
C) Must love the Bible and be skilled and gifted in making the truths of the Bible clear and how they apply to life.
D) Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A) Proficient knowledge of communications; basic understanding of Back to the Bible’s policies, practices and philosophies; a passion for getting those unengaged in the Bible engaged;
B) Skill in keyboarding, word processing and spreadsheet; skill in setting and meeting goals and objectives; skill in creating a favorable first and lasting impression; skill in product development; skill in leadership and managing multiple areas; skill in “big picture” thinking, while maintaining an understanding of the process needed to carry projects to completion; skill in analyzing statistics and quantifying the data;
C) Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public; ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information; ability to understand and follow instructions.
