Job Type: Full-Time
Are you looking for a challenging job you can believe in? International Christian Concern (ICC) is currently looking for a self-starting, very organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker with a passion to serve Christ and His persecuted church as our Advocacy Officer (AO)/Regional Manager (RM) in our Washington DC area office (Silver Spring).
The advocacy officer (AO) is our link to Capitol Hill and the State Department. The AO works to push back countries that are persecuting Christians and to free prisoners using the power of the US government. The AO meets with legislators and staffers to leverage their power and inform them of ways they can help.
As a regional manager (RM), you will monitor Southeast Asia for persecution and disseminate that news via the ICC website, press releases and print/radio/TV interviews. You would also develop contacts and initiate and monitor projects that aid persecuted Christians. You would have the opportunity to travel to Southeast Asia 1-3x per year to monitor projects and keep your finger on the pulse of persecution.
For qualifications and a job description, see below. This job has been described by other staffers as their "dream job." You will have the chance to help and serve the persecuted Church in a very unique way.
We are looking for candidates who have a background on Capitol Hill or who have international NGO background experience.
