Social Services at Esperanza Health Center

Esperanza Health Center serves over 6,000 patients through over 24,000 medical care visits annually, and is recognized as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Esperanza meets patient needs daily by offering comprehensive primary medical services for adults and children.

Esperanza Health Center is Currently looking to fill the Position of a Social Services Department Supervisor

Job Summary: The Social Services Department Supervisor is responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the Social Service department, including HIV Case Management, Counseling and Testing and Provision of Social Services. Social Service functions include but are not limited to: supervising social service staff, direct services, advocacy, counseling, service coordination, education, in-servicing, policy and program development and community relations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree of Social Work. May also have a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field including but not limited to, Sociology, Special Education, Gerontology, or Counseling and Psychology. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. Individual should have one year or more in supervision of staff. One year or more of employment in a medical practice or institution, preferred. And one year or more providing direct consumer care.
