Job Description:
The ministry’s mission is to bring sweeping and dramatic spiritual change to our society. This is
accomplished by developing students at eight of our nation’s most influential and secular universities to
become Christian leaders, positively impacting American culture and the world. Our universities of
interest include Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Yale. The
ministry also develops Christian business people, academics, government servants, professionals and
others through the annual Doxa conference to strengthen them as Christian leaders. For more

Christian Union is seeking a qualified executive assistant to support the president and his staff on a full
time basis in the New York City office, which is located in midtown and is currently in start-up mode.
We desire to have the position filled by January or February, 2011.

Major Responsibilities
Maintain the president’s schedule, setting up meetings, and handling travel and hotel arrangements
Handle the president’s correspondence and telephone calls
Maintain and update Excel based-activity, schedules and our database
Take dictation as well as notes at Board meetings and other ministry meetings
Assist with execution of ministry events
Attend to various personal matters for the president
Other routine office tasks

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A professional, positive manner and appearance with which to represent the president and the ministry
Quick learning ability to absorb the best practices of the organization
Willingness to adapt to the needs of the president and any internal and external customers.
Demonstrated excellence, commitment, energy, and enthusiasm
Shows initiative and accepts responsibility

Three years minimum professional experience
Ability to meet deadlines and work without supervision, with confidence that the work is being done correctly
Uses time effectively to achieve maximum productivity and results
Detail orientation, and strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Salary and Benefits

Compensation is based on a number of factors and ranges from $40,000 - $60,000 and includes a
ministry paid health care plan and a 403(b) savings plan. This is a full-time paid position, so no individual
support-raising is required. You may, however, be asked to participate in general fund-raising activities.
