Job Description:
Currently we are looking to fill the position for a Director of Internet (552)

Boone, NC - The Director of Internet/Digital Media Services will provide the strategic vision and leadership for all web activities to a diverse team of creative and technical professionals in the strategy, planning, implementation, and integration of the ministry’s websites, online video, e-commerce, e-mail, social media, and other digital media platforms.

Areas of focus encompass web design, development, usability, architecture, navigation, and video content management; internet marketing including SEO, VSEO, SMO, email campaigns, and online advertising; performance metrics and data analysis; and management of multifaceted projects with dynamic deadlines.

Job requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field; at least 5 years experience designing, developing, launching and managing complex corporate or non-profit websites; and a successful record of increasing Internet traffic, brand recognition, and revenue.

Additional qualifications include:

• Strong project management skills and the ability to direct and manage diverse creative and technical teams

• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with a broad range of constituencies

• Developed knowledge in progressive web communication technologies such as advertising design, viral marketing; web markup and coding languages, including HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript; with multimedia content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie and FinalCut; and with writing for the web

• Experience developing and managing e-commerce and the interrelationships with key supporting departments (i.e. Broadcast, Finance, and Information Systems)

• Superior negotiation and leadership skills

• Strong commitment to collaboration, customer service and a proactive consultative style

• Clear understanding of the connection between electronic communications, digital and media services and the internet as well as the integration of our present web format with the digital realm

• Expertise in use of spreadsheet and analytic software, as well as web traffic and trend programs

• Understanding of basic computer network requirements for web service and support desired

Travel Requirements: 10-20%
