We are currently seeking a Technical Support Technician for a full-time position at our Laramie, Wyoming facility. Position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology. Must have prior history of computer diagnosis and repair. Must have excellent work ethic, have excellent customer service skills, work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and be detail-oriented. We are a Christian owned business that seeks to operate in all areas to God's glory. Our worked force is mostly non-Christian but Management is all Christian.
Work hours are 8am - 5pm M-F with occasional Saturday work. Pay is based on skill and individual performance. Other employees of ours in this task make at least $11/hr and some make $19/hr. Promotional opportunities are available.
Falcon Technology Systems, Ltd builds high-end specialty computers for use in financial markets and sells them worldwide. Founded in 2004, were placed as the 4th fastest growing computer hardware company by Inc. Magazine. Our facility is located in Laramie, Wyoming in the South West corner of the state near Colorado. Laramie Wyoming is the home of the University of Wyoming.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues in the shop. Diagnose computer issues on the phone using remote assistance software. Test new or repaired computers using various hardware and software tools. Test individual computer components. Build and test new computers. Performing other duties as assigned. Saturday work is required on every 3rd or 4th Saturday.
Familiar with the principles of networking including: Network Address Translation, basic router setup, setting static IP address, networking commands (ping, ipconfig, tracert).
Prior experience in computer diagnosis and repair.
Organize tasks and prioritize multiple tasks to maximize customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness.
Strong ability to solve problems independently including searching the Internet.
Familiar with Windows registry entries and making changes.
Familiar with hard disk imaging software (e.g. Ghost, Paragon, Acronis, Retrospect).
Good phone presence and able to talk on the phone for 2-6 hours per day without suffering excessive fatigue. Must maintain high customer service on every call.
Able to work overtime if needed to meet deadlines.
A hard worker who makes productive use of time.
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
Must have excellent attention to detail, be accurate in obtaining and conveying information, and work with a very low error rate.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of repairs and troubleshooting.
