Valley Christian High School Administrator/Principal Job Posting Job Description

The administrator/principal will fulfill the lead administrative position of a 9-12th grade Christian school in Chandler, Arizona, a community in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The principal will initiate comprehensive reform and excellence in all elements of a quality secondary school experience. The principal will provide leadership in all areas of the secondary school, and specifically in the key areas of academic excellence for students and instructional leadership to faculty, spiritual emphasis to all stakeholders, management of operations and resources, and growth and development to include student recruitment, growing the vision through the building program, and school/community relationships.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, the Administrator will position VCHS at the forefront of quality education in a Christian school experience. The Administrator will implement the vision and strategic direction necessary to fulfill the VCHS mission: Students know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, live like Him, and prepare academically, physically, socially and spiritually; enabled to make a difference in the world.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in Education with coursework including administration, supervision, and secondary school curriculum; Valid Administrative Certificates; Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card (can secure within process); Minimum of three years teaching experience and three years administrative experience; Evidence of quality leadership in the area of academic excellence; Evidence of quality leadership in instructional supervision; Evidence of quality leadership in spiritual development; Evidence of quality leadership in management of resources; Evidence of quality leadership in marketing and development.
Or, any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in administrative principals and practices pertaining to K-12 education; secondary school principalship; principles, practices and methods of strategic planning; program design, development, and implementation; principles, practices, and methods of teacher, teacher leader, and administrator professional development; mentoring and coaching adult learners in use of data to improve instruction; technology applications in K-12 settings; principles, methods and techniques of research; spiritual formation; leading others in spiritual integration, service, and living; problem-solving and decision-making; effective verbal and written communication skills; working collaboratively with various groups in multiple education settings; leadership through successful building program; organization and management for effective and efficient use of time and resources; leveraging community support and services.
Such alternatives to the above as the governing board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications, experience, and accomplishments. Range between $80-$110,000
