We are looking for a Human Resources Director to guide and manage the overall provision of HR services, policies, and programs in a way which supports and enhances achievement of our operational and strategic goals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES include being a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ and a lifelong learner who values the discipleship of the mind; providing leadership by serving as a member of the Operations Ministry Leadership Team; supervising all department staff, functions and activities; providing oversight for the major functions of HR (recruitment & staffing, employee orientation & HR training, compensation & benefits administration, performance management, policy development & documentation, employee safety, welfare, wellness & health, employee services & counseling); working with the General Counsel to ensure organizational compliance with legal requirements; collaborating with directors and staff across InterVarsity; and developing a personal prayer and financial support team in order to raise an agreed-upon target amount annually.
QUALIFICATIONS include an annual affirmation of InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith, Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Human Resources or Management preferred, and 10-15 years experience managing HR systems and personnel. The best candidates will have a strong track record in Human Resources, a vital and mature walk with the Lord, and the ability to articulate and apply biblical principles to their faith and work.
