Database Programmer/Analyst

Union Rescue Mission (URM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the poor and homeless. Established in 1891, URM is one of the largest rescue missions of its kind in the United States and the oldest in Los Angeles. We provide a comprehensive array of emergency and long-term services to our guests, including: food, shelter, clothing, medical and dental care, recovery programs, transitional housing, legal assistance, education, counseling, and job training to needy men, women, children, and families.

Job Description:
Create and maintain programs written in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Access. Responsible for creation, administration, and maintenance of SQL 2000 databases, Microsoft Access databases and some limited Oracle database work. Creates custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Objects, and Microsoft Access. All tasks are expected to be documented thoroughly.

Must have Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MCSE, MCSD, or MCDBA required. 4+ years extensive provable experience in the following: C#, VB.NET, SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server 2K, ASP.NET, MS Access. Hands on experience with relational database management systems. Experience with Oracle 9i, PL/SQL, Javascript, DotNetNuke, DTS, Unix a plus.
