Technical Services Department
(Regular Full Time - 40 hours)
(Days, night and weekend shifts are required)Responsibilities:
Set up and operate large to smaller A/V systems, in conference and concert environments, with attention to detail on strict event schedules. Help Technical Services Manager coordinate with event planners and guest point of contacts on specific group needs and requirements, and execute accordingly. Qualifications:
A minimum of two to three years basic professional audio visual experience required. Applicant should also have hands-on familiarity with various aspects of lighting, video and live audio sound reinforcement, with any live band touring/church concert experience a plus. Must have experience in and understanding of basic sound mixing and processing (compression, gain structure), stage monitor placement along with appropriate set up of various stage components (instruments, etc.). Computer (PC & Mac) experience desired in terms of presentation software (Media Shout, Pro Presenter, Easy Worship etc.) for live events and understanding of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, a requirement. Basic understanding of lighting fixtures and controllers a bonus along with essential techniques for stage and concert lighting looks. Basic understanding of interconnectivity (cabling, connectors, wires) between various gears is desired. Video production basics including live event camera capture/operation and post production editing/workflow a strong bonus.
Self-motivated person who has the ability to work alone with great initiative, but also be fiercely dedicated to a special team in challenging circumstances. Must possess strong, clear relational skills as interaction with event and conference guests are the norm. Problem solving of last minute guest requests or even technical problems is essential. Ability to multi-task is vital, with a strong sense of prioritization. Time management and its challenges in critical event conditions a must, along with implementation of important event schedules.
