Job Description:

The Senior Technical Advisor for Water and Sanitation will serve in a senior technical advisory capacity to establish, build and expand clean water and sanitation projects and programming in countries in which Samaritan’s Purse is involved around the world, mobilizing appropriate water and sanitation measures in disaster response.

Position will cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with bilateral donors and partners; oversee program strategies with Samaritan’s Purse field offices and partners; create and establish water and sanitation protocols; build internal capacity to design and manage effective water and sanitation programming; and coordinate the technical review of new program proposals for funding consideration.

Bachelor’s degree required in water-related engineering or four to ten years' related experience and/or training in water testing, water filtration, water purification, and water treatment including well and spring management and operation of small water treatment/sewage systems. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve, manage stressful situations, and handle multiple priorities. International field program experience and demonstrated success in cross-cultural communication and ministry a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software also a must.
