Job Description:

•The Director of Finance and Accounting position manages an accounting team that is responsible for all day to day accounting and reporting to support the Executive leadership, Board of Directors, and the field/project managers of the ministry. Responsibilities include financial reporting, managing accounts payable, journal entries, accrued expenses, and the annual budgeting process. This position is also responsible for protecting the tax-exempt and legal status of East-West Ministries by understanding relevant 501(c)(3) rules and regulations, legal requirements for nonprofit and general organizations – specifically accounting topics such as taxable income issues, minister tax issues and accountable expense reimbursement plan. Experience with non profit accounting is strongly preferred. CPA certification is strongly preferred.
