The Coordinator of Advancement will help the Advancement of RREACH with exceptional vision, strategic planning and leadership in all advancement-related tasks. The Advancement department is comprised of three essential functions:
One of the most important ways in which individuals can support this ministry is by praying for the programs, staff, funding and leadership of the organization in specific ways and on a regular and ongoing basis. The Coordinator of Advancement will implement a structured program to identify and enlist prayer supporters. Further, he/she will assist these supporters as they pray for the ministry by providing ministry updates, prayer needs and reports of answered prayers. The Coordinator of Advancement will be responsible for the implementation of a consistent and effective prayer effort throughout the year and special prayer meetings before major events.
The ministry of RREACH is sustained through the bountiful provision of God. It is through His leading that individuals provide for the financial needs of the ongoing work of the organization. The efforts of the advancement team are not to “raise” funds per se, but to seek out and locate the funds that God has already laid aside for His use through this ministry. Concentrated effort and strategic thinking and planning, however, are necessary to identify new donors that God has called to support this ministry. Further, efforts must be made to minister to, encourage and cultivate present and former donors.
The Coordinator of Advancement will implement strategies to fund current and future ministry programs as well as cover the operational costs of the organization. Since the ministry is funded primarily by major gifts, special emphasis is needed to enlarge small monthly donors, ideally through automatic transfers. Further, the Coordinator of Advancement will study and research the RREACH database in order to learn the history and profile of our donors as well as to recommend strategies to maximize financial support and to reconnect with lapsed donors. Foundation support for specific projects is needed as well.
As follow-up and appropriate donor relations are instrumental to sustain financial support, the Coordinator of Advancement will support the President in regular contact with supporters through written communication, telephone contact and in-person visits. Also, he/she will set up meetings with donors for Dr. Richard, properly plan and execute meetings and follow-up appropriately with the donors afterwards.
The Coordinator of Advancement will also plan and organize special events on behalf of the ministry as directed.
Raising awareness (through communications and public relations)
Communications: RREACH communicates to its supporters and the public in a variety of ways. The Coordinator of Advancement will implement an effective communications strategy so that the vision and accomplishments of the ministry are successfully portrayed. In addition, he/she will implement an efficient communications strategy to ensure supporters are not overloaded with materials and that the communication efforts are cost effective. The Coordinator of Advancement will help ensure communications across different mediums are consistent in theme, style and message.
Public Relations: In addition to sharing the accomplishment of RREACH with supporters, the Coordinator of Advancement, in certain instances, will communicate the activities and programs of the ministry to a wider audience. The Coordinator of Advancement will support all public relations strategies and efforts.
The President, Dr. Ramesh Richard:
Ramesh completed his Doctor of Theology degree as a “first rank” graduate at Dallas Seminary while teaching in the Pastoral Ministries and World Missions departments. Seeking to fulfill his emerging vision for global proclamation, he accepted the call to serve in his birth land as pulpit pastor of the Delhi Bible Fellowship. While in Delhi, Ramesh received his second doctorate (in philosophy) from the University of Delhi.
Early in his Delhi pastorate, Dallas Theological Seminary asked Ramesh if he would return to teach, expressing eagerness to be the platform for his global proclamation ministry. He became the seminary’s first professor to simultaneously teach in three departments. At that time several Dallas businessmen joined to form RREACH in 1987.
In 2005 RREACH launched the Global Proclamation Academy, bringing 25 younger leading pastors, one per country, to Dallas for three weeks of intensive training. Its annual three-week summer program was created to strengthen and connect influential younger pastors from around the world by gathering them together to explore biblical spirituality, theological discernment, and effective preaching with the finest master-coaches available.
The vision of the GPA has now been expanded worldwide with the launch of the Global Proclamation Commission, a decade-long campaign to exponentially improve the quality of the proclamation of God’s Word and the worldwide perception of the Lord Jesus Christ by the year 2020.
Over the next decade, GPA’s vision is to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission (Luke 24:47) by spiritually nurturing and systematically networking a Global Proclamation Community. Our ultimate goal is to connect, unite, and strengthen 100,000 pastors from 200 countries for the purpose of transforming their congregations in areas of discipleship and evangelism.
In 2006, Dr. Richard was the speaker at the fourth annual African Union Heads of State Prayer Breakfast where he addressed 53 nations of Presidents/heads of state, secretaries of states, and ambassadors of state of Africa in Khartoum, Sudan.
In 2008, he addressed an audience of 200 ambassadors and world leaders as the key note speaker for the 23rd Annual International Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations in New York City.
RREACH envisions changing the way One Billion Individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of the Father, and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
A global proclamation ministry, RREACH implements God’s calling and gifting on Ramesh Richard to promote the Lord Jesus Christ worldwide.
Lean – meaning that the staff is small, efficient and effective.
Nimble – while the organization operates on an annual strategic plan, the staff is aware that often there will be what Ramesh calls “sudden opportunities” where the need is for a rapid (and often unbudgeted) response.
Wise – in a ministry that is small and much focused upon its goals, wisdom in operations and decision making is imperative.
The Coordinator of Advancement will have decision making authority over advancement-related matters as delegated by the President and/or Director of Operations.
The Coordinator of Advancement will be a part of and work with the Advancement Team, which includes staff and volunteers.
The Coordinator of Advancement reports to the Director of Operations but also may work closely with the President on certain projects.
Normal office working conditions are to be expected.
