Job Description:
Christian Heritage is seeking a full-time Recruiter/Trainer of Volunteers to set the course for the success of the Fatherhood Initiative Program by recruiting new volunteer team members and facilitating their training in working with inmates who are about ready to be or have been recently released. Networking, meeting, recruiting, screening, moving people along in the process and training people are the essence of this job.

Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have high school or equivalent diploma and have at least 1 year of experience working within the human services, prisons or sales/marketing-related field. Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or Marketing field is preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to network, recruit and retain a group of volunteers willing to work with former inmates. Experience training others a plus. The individual must have the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Computer skills required. Data entry experience a plus. Must have the ability to easily meet new people and follow-up promptly. Ability to interact with people from diverse racial, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds required. Ability to be highly efficient, organized and accurate in work. Some travel will be necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as well as the ability to pass background checks.
