Administrator – Community Christian School
The Board of Directors of Community Christian School (CCS) in Willmar, MN is seeking a full-time Administrator beginning the 2011-12 school year to succeed our current Administrator, who is retiring after more than 17 years of service.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Administrator is responsible for the overall management of all operations and functions of the School, including the planning, implementing, directing, evaluating and maintaining the systems and programs that enable CCS to meet its mission and vision.
CCS is a private, non-profit, Christian, non-denominational Pre K–12 school which has been operating since 1978. It has an enrollment of approximately 225 students, a staff of 28 (20 teachers), and an annual operating budget of $1.2 million. CCS is accredited by ACSI and consistently excels in academic achievement as evidenced by annual test scores from the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS).
In 2006 CCS expanded its influence by developing a high school program. This spring marked a milestone in the School’s history, when CCS held its first high school commencement. The school is debt free and recently completed a major building project which added classrooms for the high school, a new library, and office space.
Located 100 miles west of the Twin Cities, Willmar is a regional hub with a population of approximately 18,000. The community has a particularly strong focus in medical services, technology and agribusiness.
The Administrator must be a spiritually strong, mature Christian, who demonstrates a life of personal integrity, faith, and prayer. Professional qualifications include an experienced school administrator with a master’s degree and administration certificate (or eligible). The ideal candidate will have strong financial, personnel management, public relations, and organizational skills, and have a passion to continue to develop the high school program. A seasoned principal with administrative experience will be considered.
