Hope House located in Marsing Idaho exists to provide a home for children between the ages of five (5) and eighteen (18) (and then those youth who turn eighteen prior to or during their senior year in High School) who are emotionally impaired, developmentally disabled, and/or come from disrupted adoptions-these adoptions are failing or have failed.
Hope House serves children from all areas of the United States although the vast majority, come from the western United States. Hope House provides a home for those young people who may have "fallen through the cracks" of other governmental and/or private agencies.
Our mission at Hope House is to provide a home-like, family atmosphere where, through prayer/ love/structured activities/appropriate discipline/educational and vocational opportunities will allow young people to reach their fullest potential.
Our goal is to return young people to their families where appropriate, and to the world at large, who are able to interact appropriately with their peers and those in authority, provide for their own economic needs, and to be successful in the pursuit of their personal goals and ambitions. Note: Most families do not want reunification
The Hope House setting is a dormitory environment (boys and girls separate houes) we do not use a parent model in the homes as the kids have lost to many parents in the past.
