Designs, administrates, and supports global network systems and associated infrastructure for Compassion headquarters, field offices, and partner countries. Collaborates on designs and supports user and resource security architecture for Compassion Headquarters and Partner Countries. Assists with other server infrastructure system support like server support, incident resolution, resource management, and disaster recovery as necessary.

Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Works directly with Help Desk, and the ITSs (Remote Technology Specialists in the field) to implement and improve communication over LAN and WAN.

Trains Help Desk and IT Remote Network Support Specialists on how to support the network infrastructures, identify issues with ISP, routers, and associated hardware.
Provides direct user support for problems with connectivity when Help Desk is unable to resolve issues. Develops escalation thresholds in order to minimize downtime and prioritize problems.
Develops network design policies/doctrine and documentation to support the data communications systems.
Designs, implements, and supports appropriate levels of network security. Security includes Compassion Headquarters users, remote users (VPN) and network/systems access level to network resources. Security relationship between Compassion Headquarters, Field Offices, Home Office and Partner Countries. Trains Help Desk and other users of the security frame work on how to use and support network security systems. Establishes, publishes and promotes policies and documentation to support network security and shared standards. Establishes proactive intrusion detection monitoring and reporting.
Provides appropriated intrusion/malware protection for Compassion Headquarters and Partner Countries routers and network equipment.
Assists in providing addition network administrative support when needed. This would include things like network troubleshooting, system performance tuning, monitoring, resource management, Web support, server OS support, and other Infrastructure related items.
Assists the Customer Services team by: Willingly helping others in their duties when the need arises, offering positive suggestions for improvements in all areas, and generally supporting the IT efforts to the best of abilities. Providing technical counsel and support for all of the PC computing environment for management, Web support, server OS support, network extension/ options and other Infrastructure related items. Updating general knowledge and awareness of current industry topics by reading trade journals and attending seminars and symposia.
