Salem Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Web Coordinator / Designer / Programmer to work with our five Los Angeles area radio stations, including KKLA-FM (Christian Teaching/Talk), KFSH-FM (Contemporary Christian Music), KRLA-AM/KTIE-AM (Conservative Talk), KXMX-AM (Variety/Sports).

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and oversee the daily updating and operation of SALEM LA radio station websites. Creating and coordinating new and interesting content, updating information, executing promotions and contests and tracking usage, advertising effectiveness, ad design and interfacing with listeners/viewers, answering questions and assisting with problems.

Candidates with the necessary design, creative and organizational skills but with limited job experience are encouraged to apply.

This position requires interpersonal communication skills and the ability of working with multiple departments, individuals and personalities. Candidates need basic knowledge of telecommunications systems, including e-mail, fax and phone, computer operational proficiency, (Windows XP/7) including knowledge of scanning equipment, removable media (USB/DVD/CDR/CDRW), graphic design experience with Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite (4/5) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity software, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and PowerPoint. Basic HTML and JavaScript experience is necessary and required as is knowledge of ASP and Knowledge of Cold Fusion would be helpful.

Candidates must possess superior writing ability, including spelling, grammar and sentence structure. Candidates will need to be able to take bullet points and create appropriate text copy for display on web sites.

Candidates will attend multiple meetings with various departments to stay informed as to current and future projects. Candidates will need to make presentations, share status and project updates, make recommendations, schedule deadlines, organized and follow through with information requests and research questions.

Candidates must also have a good understanding of business forms and how they are used (web based, contracts, order forms etc.)

Candidates will also interface with outside technical and web designers at Salem Web Network. Superior organizational and communications skills are required to succeed in this position.

Candidates should have a passion for keeping up to date on web developments, new technologies and market trends.

Full-Time salary and benefits, including paid medical, dental, 401K plan, Cafeteria Flex-Benefit plan, paid vacation and sick time, paid parking. Salary based upon degree of experience and proficiency.

On occasion additional hours, including nights and weekends may be required to meet deadlines, executing updates and back-ups and for special station promotional events.
