Esperanza Health Center serves over 6,000 patients through over 24,000 medical care visits annually, and is recognized as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Esperanza meets patient needs daily by offering comprehensive primary medical services for adults and children.

Esperanza Health Center is Currently looking to fill the Position of Benefits Outreach Coordinator - Temporary

Job Summary:
EHC seeks a temporary Benefits Outreach Coordinator to provide outreach and advocacy for patients who are under-enrolled for public benefits. This individual will serve on a full-time basis, from mid-July through the end of September 2010. Candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in applying for benefits online and following up as necessary with patient and County Assistance Office.

Qualifications: Candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish, reliable and flexible, and able to work and communicate well as part of a medical team. Person must show commitment to the values and mission of Esperanza Health Center. A minimum of high school or GED diploma required. Also, please note that candidates must have a current income below 235% of the Federal poverty line to qualify for this position; additional information about qualifications is available through the Career Link office (see below for contact information).
