Director of Technology Development
CURE International is looking for a technology professional to lead our technology efforts in a dynamic, international, non-profit setting. A minimum of B.S. degree in a technology related discipline required. Significant experience with systems life-cycle concepts including development, testing, production, and maintenance strategies. Experience developing web-based enterprise systems – from design to deployment with database and network components. Experience with content management systems. Experience with front-end web technologies with an equal concern for scalability and usability. Minimum 5 years experience effectively leading development efforts as a senior engineer or architect (in-house or outsourced) to accomplish objectives of corporate technology solution efforts.
Proven ability to work independently and promote innovative methods for improving fundraising activities (e.g. employing e-mail, social networking and search engine techniques).
Strong oral and written communication skills specifically to translate business rules into technical specifications and deployable technologies. Ability to describe technical systems and structures to non-technical management personnel.
The Director of Technology Development is responsible for the overall development and implementation of technology solutions employed to promote the objectives of the communications, marketing, and technology efforts of CURE International – primarily but not exclusively in support of donor engagement.
Advise VP of cure.org on high value technology solutions to accomplish the donor development goals and objectives of the organization.
Manage the technology platforms used for donor management and implementation for online fundraising activities.
Create technology plans that support the marketing and development strategies of the organization.
Evaluate and recommend software necessary to achieve donor development goals.
Manage CURE International’s online presence including creation and implementation of new pages, campaigns, micro-sites and donation forms utilizing CURE’s current content management system or equivalent systems.
Create project timelines and coordinate with Web & Graphic Designer and content developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CURE’s website and data systems.
Mentor team members and interns in technology tools and development methodologies.
Help develop and oversee meaningful volunteer and student projects into yearly schedule of technology development projects.
Influence CURE’s data and technology strategy.
Support the monthly reporting for online transactions including website traffic, donations, and results of campaigns, and overall development marketing report that includes direct mail, radio, events and any other fundraising activity through complementary systems and engineered solutions as needed.
Support CURE’s search engine marketing strategy through complementary systems and engineered solutions as needed.
Engage with the Marketing and Communications staff to help support the messaging of CURE through technology
Ensure that CURE is utilizing all available social networking tools to reach new audiences and raise funds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
