Designs, administrates, and supports server based systems infrastructure (applications servers, infrastructure systems, global email systems, firewalls, routers, etc.) for Compassion headquarters, but could also be called to support field offices, and partner countries. Assists with other infrastructure systems support like network support, server support, resource management, and disaster recovery as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Designs, implements, and supports physical and virtual server based systems infrastructure (applications servers, infrastructure systems, Storage Area Networks/Shared storage (SAN), global email systems, firewalls, routers, etc.)
Establishes policies and documentation to support Compassion's IT infrastructure.
Provides and maintains software that supports Compassion Headquarters and Partner Countries such as Antivirus, Backup systems, etc.
Designs, implements, and supports appropriate levels of systems security. Security includes Compassion Headquarters users and systems access level to resources.
Assists in providing additional systems administrative support when needed. This would include things like network troubleshooting, system performance tuning, resource management, Web support, server OS support, and other Infrastructure related items.
May provide infrastructure setup and operations assistance to Compassion’s Field Offices world-wide.
Actively contributes to the overall IT team and, consequently of Compassion's ministry, by willingly helping others in their duties when the need arises and offering positive suggestions for improvement in all areas.
