Job Title: Commitments & Automated Acct Receivable Processing Clerk
FLSA Status:

Reports To: Finance Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Commitments and Automated Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the handling of donor commitments, running automated account receivable processes, and the receipting process.

Position Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and maintain donor commitment information received from various outside and internal sources
• Accurately enter and maintain credit card and auto debit payment information, i.e. credit card numbers/expiration dates and bank transit/account numbers
• Accurately enter and maintain donor account information, when related to commitments
• Accurately maintain recurring auto debit and credit card batches by adding, updating, and deleting batch entries as needed
• Perform recurring batch processes on schedule, including balancing batches to the appropriate outside processing agency, and addressing rejected transactions
• Research and respond to donor and missionary inquires related to commitments and automated donation processes, with attention to donor authentication and confidentiality
• Post one-time donations entered on the WorldVenture website
• Create and post Canadian check batches
• Create and post batches for cash received
• Create and post monthly batch for transmittal checks
• Update and post recurring batches for selected churches
• Print receipts, coordinate receipt insert updates and printing, and coordinate receipt stuffing and mailing
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Background in accounting and data entry helpful
• Able to use a computer, basic office equipment, and basic office software, such as email
• Flexible and adaptable to change, unexpected demands, and interruptions
• Maintain a pleasant and helpful phone presence, even when under pressure
• Able to compose accurate, complete, and polite emails and/or letters in response to inquiries and other business needs
• Able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and maintain a highly productive work environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed

• Enthusiastic personal interest in and dedication to WorldVenture’s vital and significant ministry
• Christian character that reflects and embodies the Christian values, beliefs and principles foundational to WorldVenture, and a willingness to subscribe to the eight-point doctrinal statement
• Service-oriented attitude of assisting and serving others
• A team player that displays humility and a learner’s attitude
Education or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree required

Education or Formal Training:
High school diploma, or equivalent; background in accounting and data entry preferred
