Education Coordinator
The ideal candidate will be experienced in all facets of youth education. They will assist in the creation of a strategic plan to improve youth holistically – spirit, body, and mind. The candidate will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the challenges of creating outcomes-based programming for a small, Christian organization.

The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision making ability, and attention to detail are equally important.

* Bachelors Degree and 8+ years experience as a teacher or classroom educator.
* Experience developing, measuring, and tracking outcomes.
* Ability to train staff on best practice techniques for literacy improvement and homework assistance.
* Experience developing curriculum and results tracking tools.

* Experience in the role of school principal or vice principal.

The Education Coordinator will do the following:
* Develop and track measurable outcomes in the following areas: academic, spiritual, physical, and social/behavioral.
* Develop programming to accomplish the above outcomes.
* Track students’ educational progress through UYI’s online software, report cards, Edline, parent contact, and school contact.
* Continuously analyze and improve TLA program elements, monthly monitoring, and staff deliverables to ensure outcomes are reached.
* Facilitate our TLA Education Advisory Council, High School Youth Advisory Council, and parent meetings.
* Act as a representative of Urban Youth Impact by embracing the mission and being able to communicate it.
* Exhibit a servant’s attitude. (John 13:14)
