Job Description:
Sylvan Way Christian Schools, a ministry of Sylvan Way Baptist Church, is currently seeking a school administrator/principal to oversee all operations of a daycare, preschool and K-8 program. Current enrollment in all programs exceeds 200. Current staffing is 47 full and part time staff.

The Administrator of Sylvan Way Christian Schools is responsible for all aspects of school operation, including but not limited to admissions, hiring staff, developing and overseeing the financial budget, fund raising, accreditation, enrollment development and developing policies, procedures, and programs. This individual reports to the School Committee or a designated representative thereof.

Desired Qualifications


• Broad experience with Christian education, preferably as a Christian School Administrator
• Experience in daycare, preschool and K-8 operations
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Demonstration of executive and management skills and presence
• Experience in ministry / school growth
• Demonstration of a high level of understanding of all aspects of Christian school and daycare operations
• ACSI and/or state certifications


• Masters Degree in Education or similar with 10+ years experience


• Currently a member in good standing of an evangelical church
• Unreserved acceptance of membership in Sylvan Way Baptist Church
• Unreserved acceptance of SWCS's Statement of Faith
• A strong, clear Christian testimony
• A mature Godly spirit
• A person of faith and prayer
• A strong knowledge and understanding of Scripture


• A person of integrity in business, personal finances, and human relationships
• A life consistent with biblical principles
• Recognize the ministry of the school as an outreach of the church
