The IT Governance Director will be responsible for the management and oversight of the IT Governance Office as well as ensure initiatives and operations align with the VP of IT and corporate strategic ministry objectives. This role will work directly with IT and business leadership to develop sound standards and compliance strategies that enable the effective and efficient delivery of ministry through technology. Scope of compliance management includes implementing policies and guidelines, auditing organizational practices, and mitigating risk associated with technology architecture and processes. Implements appropriate processes to ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with ministry objectives and priorities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
Creates a technology governance vision and revises technology decision-making policies and principles, ensuring technology investments meet acceptable benefits realization and enable Compassion’s ministry organizations to meet their goals.
Contribute to the development of an effective enterprise-level, ministry-focused technology strategy and value model by utilizing framework based metrics and auditing processes to ensure consistent quality and service delivery, to enable agility, and to manage organizational risk.
Works closely with the corporate Risk Management Office
Holds the organization accountable through performance metrics to established standards, policies, and procedures for technology related solutions within Compassion.
Gives feedback on individual performance and areas of improvement for the IT Governance Office staff.
Engages and leverages industry knowledge leaders and industry recognized auditors by reading applicable trade journals, attending seminars and symposia, and contracting expert consultants as needed.
Works with the Technology Architecture Office to advocate and leverage technology needed for Compassion and will support the use and application of standards in relation to our technology investments.
