Online Content Manager/Editor
Group Publishing is in search of an Online Content Manager/Editor on our Children's Ministry team. Responsibilities include developing, writing, editing and managing all online content for childrensministry.com. The ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines with excellence, be self motivated, able to multi-task and possess excellent interpersonal skills. This position will ensure the consistent, overall, daily competitive excellence of childrensministry.com through working closely with editorial, technical, business development, advertising and marketing team members to streamline and maximize all online opportunities and strategies.

Additional responsibilities include:

-Managing online marketing and outreach campaigns

-Web production/posting schedules

Build and disseminate content, create compelling marketing copy and monitor key metrics to continually increase customer engagement.

Craft site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns.

-Develop, evaluate, update and edit all site content daily.

-Ensure all content is SEO optimized.

-Oversee freelancers, including web designers and writers.

-Manage social media activities including content updates and responding to feedback.

-Manage all contractual online and newsletter banner ads and provide daily, weekly and end-of-month monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications include:

-Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Information Science, Computer Science, Journalism, English, or equivalent, related professional experience.

-Must have proven experience in web content management, writing and editing, graphic design, and site management. (Attach samples to the bottom of your resume that you have previously managed.)

-Exemplary Internet project management skills with professional website content and production experience.

-Firm grasp of Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, MS Excel, Word, online content management systems, and PowerPoint, with expertise creating and editing graphics, photos, and other collateral for web.

-1-3 year’s sales or media experience in the online marketplace is preferred.

-Must be proficient and understand website technology and strategic usage.

-Children's ministry experience helpful.
