International China Concern is a Christian development organization changing lives by bringing love, hope and opportunity to Chinas abandoned and disabled. We have joint venture projects in Hunan province, China, which provide homes for life, medical services, therapy initiatives, special education and vocational opportunities to over 250 abandoned and disabled children, youth and young adults. A complimentary community service to over 100 families also operates and we continue to look at development work within other provinces.

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our China Operations. Working closely with the Executive Director and a China Leadership team they have the critical role of providing leadership to our existing projects along with initiating, developing and implementing new projects within China. The primary responsibilities of the role are to:

• Represent ICC in negotiations with the Chinese Government
• Provide leadership to ICC Project Manager’s, national manager’s and local staff
• Work with ICC leadership to develop and expand ICC’s vision in China
• Work collaboratively to promote and create a Christ centered work

To be successful in this role you must be able to work effectively across a diverse group of people and project areas. You would have a proven background in embracing a team approach to grow the potential of those you lead and delivery of desired results. Previous work within a social welfare or health care discipline is highly desired and we would expect a strong understanding of Chinese culture along with fluency in mandarin.

All candidates must be able to show an alignment to the core values of International China Concern and a passion for impacting the lives of our children and our international volunteers. Lastly strong organizational and problem solving skills, along with PC literacy and the ability to set and manage budget, planning and HR functions are key to performing this role.

To apply would require proven experience in a like role. This role is based in Changsha, China, however as part of the International Leadership team a level of funded international travel will be required with all agreed ministry related travel expenses covered by ICC.
