MedSend is a Christian organization that makes it possible for Christian medical missionaries to show Gods love to all underserved people around the world and in US inner cities. Our part in God’s plan is paying the educational loans for all types of healthcare professionals so they can be free to serve.
To meet the increase in the number of healthcare professionals who want to go to mission’s fields, MedSend needs additional Development Officers in major US markets who are experienced in acquiring major gifts. You must be experienced, highly motivated and persuasive and capable of acquiring, retaining and growing major donor relationships. You must have a heart for the Lord and for the men and woman who depend on us to raise the funds needed to send and keep them on the mission’s field.
We provide comprehensive development support, marketing, and a collaborative work environment to help you succeed. Working independently, Development Officers are constantly engaging new prospects and visiting existing donors and presenting the ministry to large audiences as well as one-to-one.
You must be an excellent speaker and be able to present our case for support in a passionate, compelling and convincing manner both live and via teleconferences. You must be able to prepare written solicitations, draft proposals and reports. You will need to solicit individuals, churches, foundations and business leaders.
Your should have at least 3 years of fundraising experience (CFRE is a plus) or relevant corporate sales experience. You must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and have experience running web-based meetings. Travel is required.
