Job Description:
Qualifications :
•Accounting degree / Construction accounting experience at a similar level.
•Extensive job cost experience.
•Sage Timberline Construction Accounting experience.
•Experience supervising accounting department personnel.
•Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Construction Accounting
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
•Experience with Job Cost Accounting
•Solid communication skills required
•Experience with Quick Books required
Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task
Communicate and correspond with vendors regarding all updates. Work closely with General Manager and Project managers/engineers on daily basis.
Individual must be detail oriented, multi-task skills and a team player.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Month-End close and preparation of financial statements.
• Bank reconciliation of all accounts
• Reconciliation of each balance sheet account, and adjust as needed
• Preparation of all supporting schedules for month-end, mid-year review, and year-end audit.
• Review job billings and reconcile to VP - GM of Operations revenue for the month.
• Preparation of Work in Process Schedule.
• Roll of month end and year end in Timberline.
•Preparation of schedules for annual insurance audit.
• Preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
•Review and approval of coding of A/P invoices, including credit card bills.
•Management of accounting functions and preparation of reports and analysis detailing financial results.
•Establishment and maintenance of accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data.

•Analysis and interpretation of financial data and recommended changes to improve systems and
financial performance.

•Assistance in the annual budget and forecasting process.

•Weekly review of Job Cost, and comparison to Job Estimates with General Manager and VP - GM of
Operations. Identification and troubleshooting of cost coding problems.
•Assist VP - GM of Operations in analyzing job cost results.

•Preparation of ad hoc reports from Timberline database, either as spreadsheets or Timberline custom
•Management of Accounting Department personnel as requested by General Manager.
•Monitoring of Job Cost labor burden rate, and regular analysis to ensure that it is fully absorbing the
appropriate costs.
•Other duties as assigned.
