International Institute For Christian Studies (IICS)
The International Institute for Christian Studies (www.iics.com) is a dynamic, growing academic resource organization with a global vision of communicating a Christian worldview across all disciplines in public universities worldwide. IICS places Christian professors in public university faculty positions overseas, and is currently searching for a Director of Faculty Recruiting.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS
BACKGROUND
-Familiarity with higher education and particularly faculty experiences
-International experience helpful, especially in higher education
-Advanced degree required
-Embraces the central role of the academy and God’s calling to serve the kingdom as academics
SKILLS
-Able to cast vision, recruit, screen and hire well for faculty positions
-Strong verbal and written communication skills via a wide range of media
-Creativity and problem-solving ability
-Able to build and lead a team in a way that maximizes each person’s contribution to the overall objective
-Financially and organizationally judicious
-Able to prioritize projects and maximize return
-Able to implement systems to track numerous details
-Able to participate in fund development

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
EXPECTATIONS
-Affirm the IICS Statement of Faith
-Identify sources of high-quality candidates and develop effective recruiting strategies among these individuals
-Maintain regular, personal contact with potential candidates, primarily by phone, to clearly communicate vision and process
-Lead a high performance, achievement-driven recruiting department, setting a new standard for growth
-Develop and expand internal resources and promotional materials for faculty recruiting
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Increase IICS exposure among potential recruits
-Promptly and personally reply to inquiries and continue prompt, personal correspondence (primarily via phone)
-Take initiative with an increasing number of individuals and organizations to identify qualified candidates and new opportunities
-Establish and execute a sound strategic plan to achieve greater recruiting results
